Do You Need to go to Church to be a Christian?

Church isn’t for everyone, but this isn’t to say that a person who doesn’t attend church doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ, God, or the Bible. Why is it in today’s society a person who doesn’t attend services when the doors open is shunned? The Bible that I read says we’re to love one another, but it seems that applies only to those who meet normal standards or expectations of what ‘they’ want.

Attending church is certainly beneficial to anyone’s life. It teaches the word of God in a way that only a great God-fearing preacher can. It connects you to other people who have a passion and love for God who can help you feel that passion within your heart. You can spend time enjoying activity relate to God and a great life. Church helps you feel great from the inside out and certainly keeps you connected. And, no one can deny that it is great if you do attend church on Sunday or every time the doors open. But, what shouldn’t be done is condemning those who don’t attend church regularly or as you think they should.

Consider the variety of reasons a person may have for not attending church. Unless you walk a day in their shoes, you haven’t a clue why they are not attending and should never assume that you do. Assuming only brings the worst in people out and that isn’t the way that you want to live life.

Perhaps the person would like to attend church, but is unable to do so due to a work schedule. Everyone doesn’t have the luxury of telling their boss they want off on Sunday or else. Perhaps there is a lack of transportation that keeps them from church. Again, there’s many reasons why a person may not attend church, but do not shun them.  People who don’t attend church are not bad people always, just like those who attend church every time the door is open are not always good people.

Have You Been Considering Visiting a Church?

There are a lot of things that come into play as you’re looking at churches and what they offer to your family. It can be difficult, at times, to try and sort out what it is that you need to be able to do and how you want to get ahead with the things that you can enjoy at church. But, at the same time, you want to know that you’re finding a church that makes sense for your needs and that is actually going to be something that you can enjoy with your family, too.

Some people can be really picky about church, however. For example, did you ever think about the church furniture that you’re sitting on? Some people will actually take the time to worry about things like the church furniture and, if it isn’t to their liking, they refuse to come back. Other people may say that they don’t like the music, therefore making it so that they don’t want to come and visit in the future. These may seem trite, but to some people, these factors are huge and really important to consider as time goes on.

So, the fact is, you want to make sure that you focus on two main things – the people and the message. Do you like the people that you’re associating with at that church? Are they warm, welcoming, and ready to embrace your family as part of the church family? Are they people who are working to make a difference in the world? Or are you looking at a congregation that is a little bit stuffy, and that could make it difficult for you to get just what you need from being a part of the church? Figuring those things out at the beginning can be useful for you.

The message is also important. What sort of church do you want to be associated with? Do you know what they preach and how they live out the messages that they have put together? Do you know what you’re looking for and why it actually matters as you look ahead of everything? No matter what you’re looking at or why you attend the church, you want to make sure that it is a place that you want to be associated with, no matter what is going on in the world around you. That can, often times, be found in the message that you’re seeing from them.

Take a look at churches in your area and do some research so that you can better understand what is going on and why it’s going to matter to you in the long run. You will, often times, find that you have a lot of benefits and that, in the long run, you’re going to be able to see a lot of other things that will work. Find a church that meets your needs and desires and see how good it could be for you in the long run, as well.

How to Host a Church Party

Hosting a church party is a great way to bring together other people for fun, food, and worship. Many church parties are taking place every day, and if you are someone who loves the Lord but also loves fun in their life, hosting such a party is something to consider.

When you plan to host a church party, you need to do quite a bit of planning and preparing. Set a budget for the party first, because without it, you are sure to spend far more money than you intended. Plan what type of events you will have at the party, and get decorations. Sometimes, special speakers and preachers help spread the word of the Lord even easier.

Decorating for the party is always a good idea, but you can keep things simple if you prefer. Decoration can cause a dent in the budget, so think minimally here. Will there be food at the party? How about drinks? Remember, this is a church event, so drinks should be prepared accordingly. As far as food, choose finger foods that are easy to eat, and offer variety. Be sure that the paper plates, cups, and napkins are available because cleaning up after a party is the last thing you want.

Make sure that your church party has plenty of Bible reading, stories, and praise of love for the Lord. And, of course, ensure there is a great guest list. The more people who attend the party, the better. There is never a lack of room for someone who wants to learn more about God and dedicate their life to Him and His word.
